Happenings at the Visitor Center

While tourists are not coming into the Visitor Center in great numbers the VC is still a busy place. Denise Rentz of RE/MAX Mesa Verde Realty stopped by with applications for the Giving Tree. Folks interested in applying for the Giving Tree can stop by the VC for an application. Deadline to turn them in is Nov. 23.

The Mancos Valley Arts Council is opening a new photo exhibit at the VC on Saturday, Nov. 10. The new exhibit, titled Sunny Daze, features drawings and photographs by Patricia Burk, Brenda Burton and Cat Fox that are images from their travels to Costa Rica and Panama. An artist reception will be at the VC on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Thanksgiving will soon be here. The VC will be closed on the Friday after Thanksgiving. After the Thanksgiving holiday, the VC will hold its annual holiday sale. A 20 percent discount will be available on all books, maps, photographs and children’s toys in the VC.
