Special to the Times
Volunteer coordinator Peggy Littejohn (right) and Jama Collins (left ) share a laugh. There was a record crowd at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community breakfast on Monday, Jan, 21. By 9:45, almost all the wonderful food was dished out and consumed. Late arrivals made do with the magic Littlejohn pancakes. The cheesy grits was also a big hit! Jama Collins and Ann Patton tell me that "grits" really spells out Girls Raised In The South! The coordinators of this yearly event are Betsy Harrison, Tony & Peggy Littlejohn and Dian Law. There were over two dozen volunteers, and even more donors. The town of Mancos was our prime sponsor with the use of the Community Center. Thank you Town Trustees! Thank You Mancos! We'll see you next year.
