Funeral services for Tina Ann Newnum will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery.

Visitation has been scheduled for Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel.

Tina was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Cortez, the daughter of Glen and Zella (Price) Wing. She passed away at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M., on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the age of 59.

On June 28, 1977, in Cheyenne, Wyo., Tina married John Newnum. Tina seemed to win many unexpected prizes and considered herself the luckiest woman in the world. She enjoyed fishing and having fun. Tina loved going places.

Tina is survived by her husband, John Newnum of Farmington, N.M.; children, Jena Ortega of Farmington, N.M.; Ryann Hughes and husband, Jason of Aztec, N.M., Johnny Newnum Jr. of Farmington, N.M.; grandchildren, Ryan Galbraith, Kory Galbraith, Nichole Galbraith, Gabriel Newnum, Isaiah Newnum, Roman Hughes, Heaven Hughes, Jason Hughes Jr., James Hughes, and Julius Hughes; siblings, Melvin Price of Cortez, Colo., Angela Kuebler of Towaoc, Colo., and Glenda Whiteskunk and husband, Philemon of Towaoc, Colo.; nieces, Winifred Laner and Kerry Kuebler; nephews, Raymond Kuebler Jr. and Brian McCook; and grand nephew, Randall Kuebler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Zella Wing; and her foster mother, Lujeane Hurst.

Services are under the direction of Ertel Funeral Home.
